Try the Crispy Seasoned mild (or hot) Fried Korean Chicken. It's so very good, I haven't tried the other menu items yet, as I keep getting this one, but I will in time. There is a wait for your chicken but that means it is being made the right way: Fresh and hot to order and it is well worth the wait. Vons also has a location in the wonderful Shirokiya Japan Village Walk, on the first floor of the Ala Moana Shopping Center.

Great chicken house. Prices and quality make it worth checking this place out.Less personality at the counter, but I'm there for the food not too much worried about the service!Looking forward to going back.

Chicken plate was overall pretty good, but it came with 2 gyoza that were awful. Chicken was crispy and delicious though so maybe next time I'll just get the chicken.

The chicken is chicken wings so don't, expect a whole chicken. A half serving is about 10 wings. Tried the regular, shoyu, seasoned in mild and spicy. All delicious.

Takes long but well worth the wait

Ordered the bonless shoyu chicken. It wasn't like how it was pictured. It wasn't covered in sauce so i went to the lady to ask for sauce i was even going to pay for it. But she pointed the "Shoyu Packets" instead and told me to use that. Then i tried to eat it again but it was like i was eating plain fried chicken so i took my plate up and showed it to her that there wasn't any sauce on my chicken. Couldn't understand her explanation she was saying something about cutting up the chicken. Smh. I would've been a regular customer but my first experience isn't really pleasing.

Chicken is the best chicken I had in a long time. Why is there not a long line waiting in front everyday? 9/10 for chicken and quality and crispyness. And you don’t feel nasty after eating fried foods

The crispy hot chicken was delicious with a hint of sweetness. The Mac salad was surprisingly good and reminded me of something my mom would make.

Yes, this is better than Kentucky Fried Chicken. This is Korean Fried Chicken, and it's the best kept secret of Korean cuisine. I was pretty blown away by the incredible flavors and crispiness of Vons chicken wings. I had the seasoned spicy chicken wings and it was a beautifully sweet 'n' hot experience. So delicious. I've heard amazing things about the garlic wings, so that'll be next. Very high quality fried chicken and a must-try in Honolulu.

So good! The chicken is always cooked perfectly, with a fair mix of drums and wings. The sauces are all yummy too- tho my favs are shoyu and garlic. They have limited sides, but rice is really all you need to accompany such tasty chicken imo. This place seems to be patroned by a mostly carryout crowd, tho there is seating inside if you're wanting to grab some good eats while meandering in the area. The owner and staff are super nice too.

Delicious fried chicken. Make sure you invest a little time though - parking can be tricky, and all the chicken is made to order so you'll have to wait at least 5-10 minutes. But it's very worth every minute!

Takes a while as the chicken is made to order but the wait is worth it. Either bring something to drink while you wait (it's BYOB!) or call your order in.

Better than Bon Chon Chicken

OMG! The chicken was super ono! I had the shoyu, garlic and spicy. All were very good.

Among the best wings in town. You won't find the usual here, these are unique. I go for the crispy spicy ones, though they are only lightly spicy. The chicken plate is a nice lunch, but I go for the half order (10) and a scoop of mac salad. UPDATE: got boneless 1st time today (for family that hates meat on the bone). If you're looking for nice clean chicken breast strips forget about these. It's simply wings with the bone removed. All the skin, cartilage, fat funky bits are still present.No matter to me I love Vons and meat on the bone.

Great chicken

This is without a doubt the best Korean Fried Chicken (KFC) in Honolulu. Be prepared to wait 15 minutes for them to cook it, then be prepared to be amazed. Crispy fried Shoyu is the bomb. Start with just the Crispy fried you will see.

Best Korean fried chicken in town. They are the only place on island that has battered skin and they apply sauce to them. It's so good.

I'm really don't like fried chicken, mainly because not many places know how to make it right. But Vons they know how to make some great fried chicken. Only 4 star because it's a little pricey.

Chicken thigh sold as chicken wings, Old Chicken so tough you cant even chew it. If I could give zero stars I would. They are cheats if you dont see anyone eating there its because everyone knows. If you see people eating there its because they dont know know but after 1 time you will find out and never return. Go OUT OF Business stop taking hard working people money

Was alright. Had the crispy shoyu boneless chicken plate and a spicy wing plate. The boneless is a better value at a dollar less and more chicken. Service is okay, gave it 3 stars due to location and parking.

The best Korean style fried chicken on the island. The wings are crispy and juicy. I've never been disappointed by this place. I usually get the Crispy spicy wing or the crispy shoyu.

Great atmosphere and amazing crispy chicken.

I walk or bike by this place on my way to work several times a week. Every time I have to resist the urge to stop in -- it's that good. I've tried their garlic chicken and spicy fried wings. Expect to wait 15-20 minutes, since its always made to order. The foods crispy and perfectly prepped. I recommend this place on your cheat day!

This place has some very fresh tasty chicken. The fried spicey chicken is not too hot but has just the right back burn. If you have the time it would be worth the stop.

If you like chicken wings then this is the place (So many flavors to choose from)! You will not find another place with such creativity and great tasting food.

The lunch chicken plate is a MUST get. 4 tenders with good portion of rice mac salad and two mandoo. Really friendly staff. The chicken is some of the best I’ve ever had anywhere.

FANTASTIC! Vons is a very unassuming little shop, they only do chicken (wings and drummies), 4 flavors, crispy or regular - don't even recall them having any sides, I never ordered any.. But it is okay because what they do, they do right. The chicken.The chicken is crispy on the outside, and so tender/juicy on the inside. It is never abundantly greasy (I almost never eat fried food), and the sauces are delicious, not too subtle, but not overpowering to where you're sick of it after a few bites.Highly recommend

The cashier lady who works at night time has such a bad attitude. Typical Korean women. I know this because I'm Korean as well.
